This asychronous online course facilitates understanding of the surgical interventions and postoperative management of ligamentous and meniscous injuries that commonly occur in sports. The course is divided into five sections: Structure and function of the knee joint, general postoperative management guidelines, surgical and postoperative management of knee ligamentous injuries, surgical and postoperative management of knee meniscous lesions, and postoperative management relating to knee joint hypomobility. In addition, this course also provides background in examination and evaluation to help learners effectively design a therapeutic exercise program for improving knee function in patients with impairments due to injury, pathology or following surgery.
