The benefits of utilizing LiteGait in therapy have been well documented, but can you do more? The overall demand on healthcare professionals to get better outcomes in less time and for less money are requiring all proactive therapists to evaluate their methods. One of the easiest changes may be one of the oldest. In 1934, Joseph Pilates introduced a fundamental change to approaching overall health. His principles can be utilized today to improve outcomes while utilizing the environment provided through the LiteGait device. While gaining the already proven benefits of a partial weight bearing system, you can economize your sessions and address other areas in order to improve overall outcomes at the same time. We will address his 6 guiding principles, methods to achieve alignment for better posture and movement in sitting and standing, and address what exercises can be taken home to sustain these improvements.
