As practitioners become more familiar with identification of visual dysfunction following a neurological insult, they become aware of their need for a range of targeted treatment plans. This presentation includes strategies used and perfected in a Neurological Outpatient Clinic setting. Techniques discussed have facilitated client return to independent living, work, and driving. A wide range of tools are demonstrated for use in a variety of settings. This is a one day energized workshop that you will enjoy!
This workshop is for therapists practicing at all levels and is designed to improve therapist skill with identifying and evaluating patients with neurological visual impairment.
This course builds on the concepts taught by Mary Warren and is based on results from a successful Neurological Outpatient Clinic program (SWMC).
Discussion will include numerous compensatory strategies and case examples.
This course is appropriate for occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, and physical therapy assistants with all levels of experience and from a variety of settings including home health, inpatient and outpatient rehab, and acute care.
